Tunze 9002 set up confusion, Please help

Just installed a new pump on my tunze 9002 skimmer as my old one quit. so now being in a rush I didnt pay attention on how to put it back it.. now I'm confused lol...
sorry for the crude drawings but I cant find a detailed diagram anywhere!
does it go like this?


Or Like this?? this way it has a slot that the motor snaps into easily, but it fits the other way as well. the instructions are vague and just as crudely drawn


The reason i ask is I am getting conflicting information a over the web. I just contacted tunze, but assume I won't hear from them til' tomorrow at the earliest

This is from the user manual, it shows the inlet/outlet on the magnetic side like my second drawing, but people are telling me that's backwards?

 

Good question, I actually just got my Tunze for my biocube the other day and when it arrived the bottom of it had fallen off in the box and pump was loose, well..I put it back in as you have in figure 1, and it worked for a while, although I'm waiting on the inTank upgrade cup and still a newer tank to begin with, for the little hour I ran it, it seemed to work..

 

I'm about 99.9999999% sure it's the second picture. I honesty have no idea how it would go back together if you followed the first picture. I tear apart my 9002 every 2 months.

 

Yeah good call defiantly, I haven't used mine yet as I'm waiting for the inTank addon cup, but after looking at it, its defiantly figure 2, I figured it was the other way because the cord was easier to run, obviously not.

 

Lol yup drawing 2 tunze confirmed this for me today.

 

Make sure to google "Airline mod" for this skimmer.

Best 5 min mod iv done to my system so far.

 

Oh yeah I did that ages ago. I got a but of skimmate today, but I can tell its still breaking in
