    hello folks,

so iv been trying to do some reading online on the matter but cant seem to find an answer.

    here is my issue:

my tunze auto top off unit goes beserk at times, meaning the alarm will start ringing for no apparent reason. its not a constant beep but rather one with regular short intervals. not only does it go off randomly (and some times at night....HUGE pita) but also when i unplug a powerhead or the filter it decides to beep as well.

im thinking, though i hope not, that it might be a problem with the central computer box thing.....

    anyone else ever experience this?

    regards
    jeff

The only time I hear the alarm is when the water level in my sump is too high. Did you try cleaning your sensors?

yep, according to the manuel it might be caused by water damage to the central unit. thing that i find to be impossible since its been in high dry place since the start.

Are your sensors in the sump or DT? could any critters be messing with them? possibly a snail covering the sensor?

i'm not sure, i'm just throwing out possibilities. My thinking was that if a snail covered your sensor, it might misread this as a high water level and start beeping. I don't really know if that would cause the beeping or not. My sensors are in my sump and I don't have any snails down there that I know of.

Ya I was going to say see if you can send it back. They seem to be real good on customer service. Mine only goes of when the overflow sensor goes off, other than that it never beeps, something wrong with yours for sure.
