Tunze - Venturi Skimmer - Scheduled off weekly?

    Would it be a good idea to have my apex controler turn off the Tunze nano skimmer once a week for an hour (maybe at night). I have read that turning it off for an hour allows the salt build up to dissolve and can help keep operation at peak.

    Anyone doing this and seeing results?
