My Turban Snail is acting weird. He will sit at the bottom of the tank on the sand and barely move while occasionally peeking out of his shell. Can anyone advise?

How long have you had the snail?

It is a true Turban or a Turbo snail?

    Check parameters first.

I've had him a couple weeks. My parameters are consistent for a FOWLR.

Are you testing salinity with a refractometer? Inverts are sensitive to salt levels.

I'm using a Kent Hydrometer. My SG is 1.024, like it always is.

Some Turban snails are from cooler waters, that is why I asked if it's a true Turban. Those from temperate areas do not last long in our warmer reef tanks.

Then again remember turbos' do go in the sand and just chill and move around.
