Why doesnt my turbo astrea snail move? I know he is alive because he comes out of the shell some times, but doesnt move from where he is positioned, or doesnt move to anthor location in the tank.

I notice my Astrea snails are sometimes quite content staying in one spot for prolonged periods. I'm assuming it is right side up as they can't flip themselves over. How long have you had this snail? How old is your tank?

Astrea Snails, is they the ones that dig under the sand? Because mine are almost always in the same spot. My surface snails are always moving about, until the fall over and land upside down!!!

Scoffer you are thinking of Nass. Vibrex snails. They are my favorite snail.

Bruce do you hermits have any extra homes for your hermits? They need new shells as they grow and my take the opportunity to kill snails.
