turbo snail and coriline algea

    hello in my tank i have a big coriline algea problem. my favorite snails ar turbo to me they do the best job getting rid of algea but do they eat coriline algea. i not is there anything that does. thanks

    Coraline algae is considered desirable. If you want to get rid of it, you will need to keep it scraped clean. Best to do it before it encrusts to firmly in place

    oh i like it on the rocks but there is alot on the glass

    Not sure on the size tank you have, but my pincushion urchin really helps with the corraline on the glass, but will also eat in the rocks.

    I also find that if I run the mag float over the glass once in the morning and once at night that It keeps it at bay.

    Turbos dont eat Corralline as far as I know

    my pincushion urchin is super active and it seems like he gets the job done better than everthing else I have.

    Scrape it off the glass, then run a mag float over it every couple of days (or every day). We have no problem with it on the glass except where the mag float can't reach.
