Turbo Snail Milking?????

    Hey guys/gals,
    I was watching my tank today, and noticed that one of my turbo snails, was putting a milky white substance into the water?? has anyone else seen this or know what it is
    ????

    Broadcast spawning eh? do they actually reproduce or is this just a natural instinct?

    I think he will only release sperm is he detects egg's are in the tank, not sure any longer - been a number of years. Do a search on turbo snail propagation or reproduction and you will get your answer. In the least I think you can take it as a sign of a healthy tank.

    Because turbo's go through a planktonic stage, it is actually highly unlikely that you'll get any babies. But at a minimum, you got some coral food.

    I'd find it unlikely that 100% would be consumed during this stage, but I guess you never know.

    Hey guys,
    Quick update. Looked at my tank this morning and There's little white pockets of eggs all over my glass, must be like 30 white dots, and inside each one you can like 15 - 20 eggs......???
