Turbo Snail

Today I had a turbo snail die, hes the only one in my tank and he randomly just died. Is there something wrong possibly or does this just happen because they get old?

 

It happens. You should check around the area where you found the empty shell. They have a door made of calcium that they leave behind. They look amazing.

 

ya i saw that, he died right on the front glass which is good so i can get to it easily. Ive seen a lot of them die in my friends tank, i dont think im going to get another one.

 

CUC will die constantly. There isn't much way to tell how old they are when we get them and no way to tell when they're sick. It's just part of reefing.
