So I just have a new set up a 55G long with about 33 lbs of LR and 40 Lbs of live aragonite sand and 20 lbs of dead white sand. I have had the rocks in the tank for about a week now. there's a HOB filter that came with the tank. I got it as a package deal with a heater, filter and the dual hoods with lamps.

Today I was out and about and happened to stop by a LFS Petco and happened to purchase 2 turbo snails, 5 Blue Leg Hermit Crabs and 2 blue damsel fish. Just wanted to get something in the tank or what not.. My question to you all is do I have to worry about my turbo snails mating so quickly? I will have a photo attached, but I came home and see both snails at the top of my tank attached to one another.. why is it that they go near the heater and filter at the top of the tank? and in the picture does it look like they are trying to mate and reproduce? Thanks....

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they don't have contact while mating but rather release a fluid into the water containing gammets. It'll look like they have smoke wafting out of them when they are doing this.
