your right and shortly after I used the alge fix my fudge took off like crazy (once the stuff in the dt was gone). My cheato growth has been doubled, also added a few more different macro algae, I upgraded my skimmer and added a better phos reactor. So yes it wasn't the algea fix that fixed the problem all that did was kill it all at once. It was the upgrading in my equipment to better remove the excess nutrients that kept it from coming back.:)

I agree totally, I started vodka dosing to combat the green film algae and some green turf. It started to disappear, but then started to get cyano growth. I then stopped dosing and I started getting thick mats of turf and green film really bad. I've just started growing and dosing my own bacteria and have changed my carbon dosing using a mix of vinegar vodka and sugar and the turf and film algae is quickly disappearing. Also by dosing bacteria it is out competing the cyano.

    Responding to your initial post-
My LFS said slowly raise Mag to 1400 for a GHA problem. Raised over a 10 day period. Toadstool retracted and after 14 days (7 days of no dosing Mag), still looks shrunken and the polyp extension is minimal. And I still have as much GHA as before. I also followed the light/feeding recommendations. I don't know if it helps to know someone else is having similar problems, but I'll be watching this thread for a possible solution!
