I have a small amount of turf hair algea in my nano tank its been there for about a month and it hasnt spread it started in one spot and has literally stayed in the exact same spot i even measured it.....

but it just throws off the look of the tank and i dont like it...

i read online that an emerald crab loves to munch on that algae and will do a good job of removing really any algae....

just wondering if you think I should get one or not your opinions??

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You can manually remove the rock and scrub it off with a stiff tooth brush in salt water.

You can cover the area with a piece of underwater epoxy for a week until the algae dies.

An emerald in such a small tank will not get enough to eat and may go after corals and other inhabitants so I would advise against that.
