    i dont have a top off..you just cant do a water change at the end of the day without filling the tank up with rodi water before you siphon the water out..if you wait for the evaporation to take out water and then you siphon out water without filling it to the line where your water should be, then yeah when you fill up your salinity is going to be all out of whack..

    if it were my tank i would do the rock wall on the back..im gonna be setting up a new tank soon with just clowns and nems and gonna do a sweet rock wall on the back covered in zoas..

    good idea and about top off thing thats what I told myself on the first one but I was always lazy and my params were always screwed up so yeah def gettin auto top off

    yeah, you know its up to you and your doing the right thing taking it slow..pretty much just get it up and running and add things as you go..since you want the top off, then you should be able to get it up and running for around 260$..and get everything i said as it goes..

    Sold Co2 setup still working on selling the rest.

    So should I get a new bulb for current fixture after the cycle or a new t5 fixture?

    Also talked to a guy from one of the local fish stores and he said itd be around $65.00 to drill the tank, install overflow and for the return plumbing.

    dont epoxey your rocks. you could never change them then. just ask here everyone is always wanting to redo their rocks. and welcome to this horrbal hobby. and wow its seems like a ton of us (14 and 15 year olds) are poping up

    you also could do a seahorse tank. i have my 2 seahorse tank cycaling right now and could give you a ton of info
