turning my Planted Tank into a reef see last post

    Nobody is perfect. I know I forget to top off sometimes or I'm just not there to do it. The ATO removes that variable.

    ATO = less daily maintenance. IMO less daily maintenance means I can enjoy the tank more.

    The big downside to an ATO is the possibility of failure. However, regular maintenance and building in some redundancy can cut down on that risk.

    i am just used to the bare essentials, i don't get much money so i didnt find it necessary.

    Got the rocks a couple days ago and they look great. Skimmer should be here today. So ill prob get tank drilled and sump built this weekend.

    An yeah while manually topping off the tank may work for you Im def getting an ATO plus its like what $40.00 im spending so much on this anyway I might as well do it right

    Skimmer still isnt here even though it says out for delivery...oh well guess it doesn't matter anyway but im bored and want to check it out.

    Think Im gonna go to homedepot and get some epoxy and aquascape today

    Its an internal skimmer but comes with tank mounting brackets so thinking about running it in my hex until Im ready to set up the mr aqua...plus skimmer on hex has been kinda screwy lately

    i wouldnt run it on the hex unless you plan to keep it on the hex, just put it directly into the tank you dont need to test drive it

    Got the epoxy I think I might wait to aquascape until tomorrow though

    also finally bought a gcfi for my hex
