turquoise algae?

    I need to know if this turquoise algae growing in my tank is bad. I want to start stocking corals but wont until i know this algae is okay. here is a picture

    it looks more turquoise in person than it does in the picture...

    Is that a rock? It looks like it is covered in a sponge?

    ya its a rock. I think the white is just dead coralline. it's hard... i dont think it's a sponge but it could be
