I plan on picking up a tuxedo urchin tomorrow. I always Quarantine all of my fish before putting them in the DT. Is there something I could dip the urchin in before putting him in the DT? Any other ways to Quarantine?
    Any advice is appreciated.
    Thanks

FW dip? Or a quick low SG SW dip maybe? Sometimes dips are considered to do more harm than good though...

No dipping or quarantining required for inverts. Just acclimate it slowly and add it to your tank.

    Moved to inverts board...

I just added a tuxedo urchin last weekend. I acclimated for 30 minutes and made sure it did not have any algae on it. I saw some in the lfs with caulerpa. I also made sure not to expose it to the air. Apparently they do not like that too much. Hope that helps.

I have a rock boring urchin. It was exposed to air in shipping. I floated and dumped (like I do most inverts)... no problem.

Perfect advice here. I added 2 to my bio and 3 to the 55 and acclimated for 45 min. and all is well with them.
