    yes i love diy stuff , i got the idea for it off the garf site, its made from Plexiglas with holes drilled in it to fit the diy frag plugs i make, i have problems with egg crate being a alga factory and hard to clean .

    It is hard for me to comment on this being i have never owned either of these tanks.
    it is mostly a personal choice, the type of lighting you want and tank size the more gal. of water make it more stable and easer to care for.

    Since i have bin under the weather with the flu this week i thought i would play with building my auto top off for my new tank setup. and here are a few
    pictures of what i came up with, i set it up with low voltage through the float switch tripping a relay to run the top off pump .

    That is pretty much exactly the way mine is set up, same float and general idea. I haven't put it on the tank yet though, I need to do that soon! Let us know how it works for you and I will do the same...

    New update pictures

    It's been a wile since i posted new shots so here are a few new updates.
    The ato is working like a champ and i got my new frag tank up and plumbed into the system, and added 2 new power heads. next month i am going to start replacing the some of cleanup crew i lost when my tank got cooked. And after that new corals yippy.:biggrinbo
