I was thinking of mounting an exhaust fan in the wall where the old chimney is sticking through the wall when i remove it.

Great thread.. Some people on here really make me feel lazy though.. Keep up the hard work and I can't wait to see the finished product, I know it will be incredible.

You should use the green backed drywall. It's meant for bathrooms so the humidity and moisture won't affect it nearly as much. One problem with just using plastic is that if moisture does condense or get onto it, it will just run down onto the floor and start to rot it. Tyvek would have been better because it protects against water, but also breaths.

    Day 5

Progress report drywall hung and the first coat of drywall compound then the dusty sanding mess begins. In the mean time i have started figuring out the pluming and elc. wiring . i am really getting stoked :eek: wont be long till i get a tank set in and hang the door and get an idea what things are going to look like.

Sweet man! How big of a sump, refugium, and frag tank will you have? I recommend having the fuge setup high in the fish room, where it can be gravity fed to the tanks. Alot more pods and such will survive and end up in the display.
