Don't forget to run several circuits from panel for all this. Keep posting pictures. You and your wife can have tank wars. We will be the judges to see who sets up a nicer tank how fun. LOL

the 29 gallon sump may not be able to take all the overflow of the 2 tanks if power shuts down, if you have the water too high. You could use it, but I think you would have to keep the water level in the sump shallow. IMO it would be a really good idea to use the 29 gallon as a fuge and put in a larger sump. Large sumps provide TONS of benefits. You could buy some sort of storage container if you are looking to go kinda cheep, just have to make sure they are safe and strong enough to hold the water. Looks like you have room for another 55 gallon to go along the back wall you could use as a sump. Either way, I like what you have done, don't loose any of your motivation!

    day 6 & 7

Well 2 more days work done, finely got it in primer glad most of the dust making is behind me :). It wont get a final paint till the wife picks a color for the room, being we are doing the hole room over,Tomorrow i will work on putting in the door jamb and sealing the edges of the drywall around the tank openings and hopefully set in the one tank that is empty right now, still have to tare down the other tank and put the few corals and fish in the frag tank to hold them till i am done moving stuff around.

I think its time for a beer brake to wash down the dust.

lookin good! People have had success with those Rubbermaid storage containers as sumps if you want a bigger one. They don't look pretty...but no one's gonna see it anyways. Maybe you could go that route. Or a small liner thingy that makes up those backyard fish ponds. If a small one exists...not sure what they are called. But look like this:

    Day 8

Today went good, got the door jamb installed and the door hung, the edges around the tank openings sealed up and one tank set in place, going to wait on all the trim work till the painting is done. tomorrow ill start to fig. some of the plumbing out have lots of pipe and fittings laying around but i am shore there will be lots of little parts and valves to go get. i guess its time to start taring down the other tank to move it and set it in its new home. :)

would be cool if you could do a couple big like 4" bulkheads between the tanks to conjoin them

Looking good though, wish I had the opportunity to do something like this
