    Hi Guys:

My Twin Spot Goby has been MIA today. I've had him for about 3 weeks and even dosed the tank with a bottle of trigger pods to keep him well fed.

When I bought him he was healthy, but a little beat up (fins were chewed/frayed).

He settled in niceley and sifted the sand 24/7. All his fins grew back....

Now that the sand is sifted has he retired? LOL.

I don't see him anywhere and am kind of upset.

How long has your tank been set up for and how often do you feed your goby? Sand sifting gobies require a mature sand bed and 2-3 small feeds a day to keep them healthy. They constantly sift the sand bed which means they exert a lot of energy for a small amount of food.

I feed my chalk goby (another sand sifter) a few flakes in the morning, some fine granules in the afternoon and a mix of krill, brine shrimp and mysis with a pipette (2-4 shrimp per shrimp type) in the evening.

Tank has been running for almost a year. The sand bed is pretty deep. I dosed the tank with trigger pods for it. Also feed mysis and algae sheets.

He must be gone since I still haven't seen him :(
