I just got the torch coral but any idea what kind it is specifically? Same with my Zoa's, got them a while ago but not sure what kind they are. I just got the torch today, and it was only $15 so I couldn't pass it up, is that a good deal for two heads? Thanks

Most torch corals don't really come in different "kinds" just color combinations like "green with purple tipped torch", plus branching or wall type which is the growth form, that looks like the branching type which I believe is Euphyllia Paraglabrescens. There are only a handful of color combos so you probably won't find a fancy common name like "giant spaghetti monster torch".
2 heads for $15 is a pretty decent deal though.

As for what "type" of zoanthid, I have no idea, I don't keep track of many names, there are so many and everyone seems to have their own name for what seem to me to be identical, so I don't follow them much. There are some very minute differences in some "varieties" that I can't keep track of and I'm not convinced they really are there or are consistent. :)

2 heads of torch for 15 is a good deal. As far as what type of torch that is, screwtape is right about the coloration of them and that is really pretty much it for torches.

I have never seen a wall torch, only branching ones. Hammers, torches and frogspawn are all euphyllia, so they are very closely related. The only of those that I have seen as a wall type is a hammer. I have never seen wall frogspawn or wall torch.

The zoas, well, I don't even attempt to call them what some folks name them. I call them by their skit and center colors, and that's it.
