I know I read in a forum somewhere about this Reactor, but I can't locate it.

Anyone recommend it or a different brand? I have seen a few different models. some that allow two different products ...like carbon and phosphate in one canister ? Have also seen some people just put phosban into a media bag andplace into HOB or near sump?

I use the via aqua poly reactor. It came with the pump, I've had good luck with it. ViaAqua Poly-Reactor (Multi-Media Reactor)

You'll do better forcing water through the reactor to get the best use out of your media.

Its a great little reactor for the money I have sent out a few dozen and never a complaint . heck what does 30.00 or so buy anymore ? There are better and much better units around but they all do the same thing.. I'd recommend one..

I have the ViaAqua too.. Mine was missing the connectors so I had to make my own homeade. I think it's priced appropriately. Other than that it does the job. If you want to remove phosphates faster... a reactor is the way to go. If you put a bag in the sump it will still work just not as well. I put my carbon in a bag in the sump and it does the job.

I highly recommend the Two Little fishes one I have been using it for a year now and I think it works great Good price ,Well Made only thing is you need a pump I am using a Maxi-Jet. I run straight Phos-Ban or a Phos Ban-Carbon mix.

I have a 350 Mag canister filter that I use with a polishing filter and Carbon....would it work also with the phosphate media? or you think the flow would be to much ?? Seems as if the phosban or similar media would fit into the container the same as the carbon ??

I like Rowaphos myself used to use PURA phosloc but the quality went to crap it started to break up and created a red mud that killed corals a few yrs ago.. The reactor looks as good as any I just never used one the pump would not be a factor to me . I'd feed it off of my main pump from sump if you have one ? why use more elect and cause more heat and just add one more thing that needs servicing and cleaning . Thats how I think :) simple strokes fro simple folks :)

Hell yes Stewie for Pres..I wish we could vote tomorrow LOL

great idea, using main pump ...it's straight lined to Main with no tee's currently ...never thought of using it that way. Do you have to run the Phosphate Media continually to keep levels down? or only when needed ??

I'd recommend just running it constantly in the reactor to be proactive, along with carbon.
