    hey all,

So just to show you a pic of my 2 new BTAs got them for 15 euros each (could not resist) one has a red tan the other looked brown at the LFS but when i brought it home under my blue lights turns out its green, pretty happy about it.

let me know what you think, one (the green) seems to have adjusted rapidly to my tank, the red seems to have a little harder time but seems still healthy right?

    enjoy

btw they are about 5-7 cm in diameter (so cute)

btw my perculas dont seem the least interested in my bubbles yet. iv read they might need some time, this said there is a yellow tale blue damsel who has decided to claim the territory near where the anemones anchored and seems to be angered when the clowns even get close to the rocks. she wont attack them but she will "swell" up (if that makes sense) could this be a reason why the clowns have not hosted yet?

One pair of my clowns never did take notice of their BTA.

That same pair of clowns did grow larger enough and aggressive enough to take on my yellow tail damsel. The damsel had to be removed because the clowns were going to kill it.

The damsel hovered around the BTA routinely, never diving in but residing close by.

Domino Damsels will frequently take up residents in a BTA.

Try using an image of an anemone hosting a clown fish taped to the tank.

My first anemone was just a long tip, and my clownfish host in that one. I bought a bta not too long ago and my domino tries to hang out in it but my clownfish chase him off from that one too... they dont hurt him i just dont get it, any reason as to why?

I'd push them near to it with a net, they usually see it and go for it.
Can you tell us about the hobby in Switzerland? Vous parlez Francais?

If the anemones are a distance apart the clown fish may not be able to defend both anemones, but that is a clown fish's nature. When I have seen Domino being hosted by an anemone it was in the absence of a clown fish.

Note: I would never force a clown fish into an anemone with a net or placing clown fish and anemone in a small container. Young clown fish never exposed to an anemone can quickly become victim to the anemones sting.

" Nothing good happens fast in this hobby ". Let the clown fish acclimate to an anemone.
