    Okay i've just bought and added my two first fish. Two clownfish, wild caught and a pair.

    I added them both and all of yesterday and this morning they have been bobbing around and sitting at the top corner of the tank. Everynow and then the little one will take a dive down closer to the anemone that i'm hoping will host the pair.

    i'm just wondering if this is part of them settling in and getting use to the new tank or if there's something wrong that i should be correcting?

    here are a few photos of the pair and their new home;

    What size tank? What are the params? And why do you have an anemone in that young of a tank?

    How old is your tank?
    If your params are good, and youre not cycling or anything, it is pretty natural for the clowns to be un-sure. And if they're young clowns it's more difficult to get them to host.
    Assuming that everything in your tank is good, they will host when they are a little more mature or there's a threat in the tank.

    i see you have alot of water loss due to evaporation. check the salinty level first and every thing else. my black clown did the same thing, however it is an est system and he was probably just stressed all is good now, i dont have an anemone nor am i planning on getting one, more trouble than they are worth.

    It is normal for them to bob around in a location when they are unsure. They will also do this when they "Sleep", generally they move to the calmest part of the tank to "sleep" in if they have no host anemone.

    What equipment and setup do you have?

    starting with a 2 ft 200L tank, Canister filter.

    I'm trying to be as pateint and information absorbing as a can before i'm adding things. My LFS tell me the could be hosting to my pipes, being to them the safest part in the tank at the moment. Though i told the guy at the store it had been cycling for 30 days and i wanted to add an anemone for the Clownfish, he said it would be okay?

    Any lfs that says you can put a anenome in a tank thats only been up for 30 days is off of their rocker... A tank should be up close to a year IMO before adding a anenome...I'm not bashing you at all.. I've made the same mistake.. I'm speaking from experience...
