First off i would like to say that i left my tank without toping off for a while because i just didnt get the time.. and yesterday i did my top off.

the next day i found my peppermint shirmp and my cleanershirmp dead??
everything else is fine and doing well.
which made me think it was me doing the top off...

think there was a swing on the salinity big enough to kill my shrimp? or what do you guys think happened?

( in another note, my dragon goby jumped out of my 150G, found him all dried out :( )

It could have happened. Not sure if it's likely.

In a 150g tank? You'd need something a little more drastic to kill a peppermint.

i agree with seabass. a top of fshouldnt kill one. let alone two different shrimp. but if thats the only thing that you changed for the past few days. it might have done it. its the common factor between the two.

no this is my 29G.. i think i toped off like around 6-9 gallons. i poured 2 jars that are about 2-3 gallons.

I poured them like at 3 in the morning and the shrimp were dead when i woke up at 10am or so.. so i think its got to be the water because i havent changed anything in that tank in like 2 months.
