Good day all, I have a GBA in my 28g nano that I am having an issue with. One day, out of the blue it up and left the rock it was hanging out on and went to the top back left corner. He hung out there for a while I did a few weekly water changes. The latest water change I moved him back down to the sand towards the front of the tank. I noticed he did not attach himself too quickly that eve, but I went to bed and in the morning, he was at the bottom in the front on the tank on the glass. He stayed there for about two days, but now he has moved up to the top of the tank again. He used to be very large and happy in the bottom middle tank, but I have not seen him open up fully in some time. The two clowns I have are still trying to swim with him. Is this movement to the top of the tank normal? I read in a forum that it may be trying to get more light by going to the top, but I don't think that is really possible the way the hood is constructed. Should I get a brighter hang on light to help? Any suggestions out there?

Well, It would help to know what kind of light are you using exactly.

Also, how old is your tank? Anemones move a lot when they are stressed out.
    what are your water parameters?

Guess that does help, I have the JBJ 28g CF-quad with 105 watt lights at 10K/7100K. Last week parameters were fine, need to check today (obviously), just started running RO/DI with reef crystals two weeks ago. Previous was lfs bought. The tank is 4 months old.

I think you are ok on the lights, but someone should chime in on that to be sure.

however, what concerns me is that you got it 4 months in. GBA's should not be added that soon into the tank. ( the tank should be established for 8months minimum before you can add one).

Please post your current parameters here as soon as you check.
