    Hi all,

My water test are coming out really good but I cannot get this haze to clear up. From front to back looks really good, but from side to side looks hazy.

Any ideas how i can clear this up. Also brown diatoms all over everything, but Nitrates check out good as well and all other test.

even if you don't have any nitrates on the test, the diatom algae will use some nitrates so you still have excess nitrates the algae is just using it.

for they haze do you have a skimmer? a skimmer will remove alot of stuff from the water.

Let it run for another month before adding a fish. :) Once the brown diatoms die off (they are why the nitrates are 0 right now), the nitrates should go up again, then the anaerobic bacteria will kick in to naturally process the nitrates. When it goes back down to zero, it will be time to add one fish. :)

Do you have anything in there to maintain bacteria growth? If so then it should clear up in 72 hrs or so. I had a bacterial bloom about 6 weeks into my cycle and it go real cloudy but cleared up in 3 days.
