    I would just buy a single damsel (yellow-tails are good) and let that pop the cycle.

    i am not sure about how much ammonia to add, but it is possible to speed up the cycle using other methods tron. There are some really good microbiology research papers all over the internet and you will definately be able to find info on cultivating nitrosomas and nitrospira. That is if you are interested in it. Always better to research deeper into stuff to gain a better understanding of how things work.jmo

    Thanks. I'll look into it just for curiousity sake. I'm using 2 damsels right now to cycle my tank since it's seems to be the tried and true method.
