Take the RO membrane out and run it again, see what you get. As sad as it sounds, sounds like the RO membrane still has the wrapping on it.

Wrapping ? OK I will try to disassemble to see whats in there.
Also, I noticed when I turn the DI Bypass to Closed, the PSI goes to 0.

Tells me something, but dont know what...

    Thanks

Bypassing the DI causes the PSI to go to zero? Odd. I would solve the RO problem first since you aren't getting any RO water at all. That may solve the 0 PSI DI issue.

OK, took it appart, that was easy..
Anyway this is what it looked like Aquarium Water | Reverse Osmosis | RODI Water | ReefKeeper Water | FilmTec Membrane 100GPD

a shiny blue plastc surrounding the filter materiel. Both ends were open.

I was able to inspect more closley, and it does not appear to be blocked anywhere that I can tell anyway..

The instructions specifically say NOT to put any valves at the end of the drain or to restrict the drain in any way.. and you did exactly that

Remove that valve, open the FAST FLUSH, open the DI bypass, open RODI. Run for 5min., the last clear housing will not fill up. After 5min. close FAST FLUSH, run with DI bypass still open for another 3min. After that, close DI bypass, make sure your OUT is open and not restricted in any way, make sure RO only is closed. At this point the unit will be making less than it capacity for the first 3 days until it flushes all the air out...

The valve was a test to see if I could get it to fill. At first I thought the fast flush was broken, cause when I closed it , it would still drain. I now know the drain will drain and the fast flush is, well for flushing fast.

So I kinda did what you say. I ran it like the instructions say, wide open for 5 minutes, closed DI Bybass for three minutes. This is when the unit drops to 0 PSI....

Question, which Out ? So you want me to close the RO only out, and let the DI Output open and un restricted ? Since I was trying to get the RO working and the DI is not hooked to the tank yet, I have a valve on that on and have it closed.

If RO is closed, DI Bypass is closed, how am I getting water ?

I may stick with buying the one gallon jugs....
    Shrug

OK, I followed the steps from dufresne and this is the result.

The DI output is trickling and the drain is still coming out pretty fast.
With the RO closed, Fast Flush Closed, and the DI Bypass closed, with the DI output open, the pressure did NOT drop to 0.

    2 Questions

1.) When closed, the fast flush makes a hissing air sound, is this normal ?
2.) At what point can I turn on the RO and make some RO water along with the DI ?

    Thanks all

ok, from what I understand you are calling the RODI output (which is the final product) - DI output. So, yeah it will trickle.. that's normal - the unit makes 3 gallons every hour at full capacity, which it will not reach the first 3 days. The drain will always drain a lot while the unit is making water (a lot more water goes to waste than is made).
Not sure about the hissing air sound.. I don't think mine does that. I have the Typhoon III Extreme.

    Hey thanks.
Yes, I am calling the RO/DI the DI output. This has two outputs, the RO/DI and RO , correct ?

My goal was to run the RO to the refridgerator and sink and the RO/DI to the ATO for the tank, so a trickle is ok I guess. Witht the exception that it was my intention to T off the ATO and have a tube with a valve to fill up 20 gallon buckets for my water changes. SO this process would take 6 hours to completely fill for my WC. I guess I could deal with that.

With your fast flush closed, do you not hear a hissing sound >?

Can you tell me how you have yours set up and how you are using it ?

I have emails and calls into AWI but have not received any response. I would have hoped that being a sponser they would give 3reef members a call back at least.

    Thanks.
