    Well 3 days after placing in my tank it has regained its brillant red color. Question is since its on a plug, should i surrond it with rubble so it can grow on it or leave on the plug and grow it off that on the sand?

    PS- i love this coral and got it super cheap!

    I would put it on rock so it can encrust. It won't go anywhere on sand.

    BAM here ya go, it lost its red color but regained and feeding well. Ill put it on a rock tomorrow and give it a nice home (decent size for only 30 bucks woot)

    Just picked up one that is red, purple and green. It looks like it will encrust easily if you pop it on a rock. I took mine off the plug already and placed it flush against one of the rocks.

    Used a scalpel to get between the frag and the plug and "wiggled and pried" with the blade.
