Google Kalkwasser, easy to come by. You can use pickling lime as well, that you should be able to get easily.

Paste works but once you have them it becomes a regular regimen. Had them for about a year until I bought a Mertensii Butterfly. All disappeared in days and haven't seen any since. If you are going to go about it manually, keep an eye on your sump as they will be there also.

Thank you, I have a HOB currently. Should I invest in a peppermint shrimp? Are they reef safe and compatible with a cleaner shrimp?

I have definetly heard an army of peppermint shrimp is the way to go. I have not had any experience with it though.

Peppermint shrimp are not always reef safe no matter how much food you feed them. I have had them eat Duncan corals, they finished off my 3 Maxi-mini anemones in 72 hours. The have been known to rip open LPS to get at food in the gut area. Lastly they are not the easiest invert to catch and remove, oh and sometimes they will not go after large aipitasia, so you may need to starve them a little to inspire them to eat large ones.
Peppermint shrimp work well for many people, but don't be fooled into thinking they are reef safe because that could change over night. As far as compatibility with other shrimp that was not an issue for me.

Pepp shrimp are great in a pack of 6-8. No aptasia is safe from them. Once the job is done, bring them to your LFS for some credit. Not the type of critters to be trusted with your valuable corals in the long run.

Oh, don't wish that on anyone with SW tanks. I am fighting aiptasia myself. My neighbor is a nurse so I have access to needles and syringes for the lemon juice. That works but in a 180, what a pain. I purchased 6 peppermint for the 180 and 2 pepper mint for the nano about 2 weeks ago. The nano appears to be completely clean. There are no corals in that, so I am not concerned. the 180 is looking w-a-a-a-y better, but still some to go. Problem is that once the aiptasia are gone don't know how I will ever find the little dudes to get them out. Or, maybe just wont bother. At this point, I am all for the natural predators if possible. Don't want to keep tearing down my tank for stupid stuff.

Wish you all the luck in getting rid of it.

I am gonna remember that past trick in the future.
