UGH..possible soap in new tank..

Ok I messed up here...I was fresh water testing the plumbing on my new set up..when i grabbed a face cloth from the bath room to dry my hands..some how(not paying attention) it fell in to the sump and was right under the drain.so all the time it was in there(prob 20-30 min)water was passing threw it circulating through tank...now I see suds in the overflow and near the drain lines(not a crazy amount but non the less it there)...is this going to be a big prob.or am able to clean it out with something to get ride of any residue.hope im not in real trouble here down the road...cant believe this happend.. TIA..

 

I believe if you rinse it out many many many times you should be okay. Just make sure you rinse it out very well and numerous times to make sure all the soap is out.

 

doing that as we speak... errr type...then I though I would dilute some bleach and give the tank a good wipe out and rinse again..hopefully it will remove the residue...

 

I think you would have to have a pretty good amount to matter considering the volume of water you will have-
I would be afriad of the beach myself, and would opt for multple rinses, and a good pressure spraying from a hose if possible

 

Oh I forgot to add its a 75 bow w/20 gal sump..you may be right with the bleach thing..ok will hold off on that..so far im 3/4 drain for the first time..will prob fill and drain 2-3 times..ugh..wish I could use the hose but thats not gonna happen it would be sooo much more easier...

 

well I just got done rinsing it like 4-5 times..really hope this does the trick..hope to mix up some salt water and get er going...almost time to take down the 55..
