Sure, wait a few months till it covers the plug :)
You should be able to take some cutters to the base of it and snip it right off. Then put the frag where you like.

take either a pair of tweezers or a razor blade and slowly wedge your way underneath the coral. get some super glue gel or some aquarium safe puddy and stick the frag where you want, i would recommend super glue gel at first, this way you can place the coral where ever and see if the animal likes the position its in, super glue gel comes off pretty easily, that's why puddy is better - its much stronger and flexible.

like mentioned a razor will work. I have a flat head screw driver I use for stuff like this. I often remove plugs too. Even when the coral grows over it, alot of these plugs will still have their obvious shape.

Anyway, try to keep the glue base that is there from the store in tact to avoid putting glue (or putty) on the flesh.

Sometimes it doesn't matter, but I've had frags freak out and die from having putty around their flesh base. Though most haven't cared.

BTW you asked about the pink color under LEDs, I may be wrong bit it appears to be bleaching. SPS are legendary for bleaching if you don't acclimate them well, and LEDs are quite capable of bleaching SPS from light shock.

What color was it when you got it?

Another thing I tried which worked to a degree, was to use some of the holdfast epoxy around the edge then take a small piece of rock and press a pattern into the epoxy that mimicked the rock. After a while with a little algae growth the epoxy looked like the rock work because of the texture.

That's the color it was when I bought it. I told the guy working that it was bleached and he shouldnt try to sell it but he said that's what its supposed to look like. He had 3 more that looked the same and none if the others in the tank looked sick or bleached. I was curious if it would be blue or pink under my magenta/blue leds so I brought it home and sure enough it was pink. Do u think he lied? And I'm just the dummy that believed him? That would suck
