my emerald crab and urchin have been eating the bubble algae. The bubble algae that is in the pic is now gone! yay! one just popped up a few days ago, it's near his home so hopefully he'll get it soon. The urchin and blue legs have been working on the algae, but they seem like they can't get it to go down. Maybe i'll get some chitons and try those, or maybe more blue leggs?

are the blue legs good at getting clear of the urchin? I have the two myself in a tank and it seems the urchin likes to wear the hermits as camo. (Was a test tank, blue legs and rock boring urchins both eat caulerpa verticellata) Different species of pincushion though, but even the rock boring and the smaller pincushion urchins wear the blue legs. Slows down productivity and probably isn't good for the hermits, although they always seem to be fine after I remove them.

haven't seen him wear any hermits so don't think there's a problem there, he only inverts he likes to wear are the ceriths, he also likes seaweed that's been growing on the rock, and whatever else he can pick up, but he mainly leaves the inverts alone :)

oh cool, add some more blue legs or chitons in then to tip the balance in the CUCs favor or step up nutrient reduction (through greater export - refugium/water changes - or nutrient reduction -less feeding, rinsing food etc...), or a little bit of both etc...

kinda :cheesy: I am just kidding you, but there is a lot of overgrowth there. :)

It looks to be similar, it branches in the right spots, it isn't the same shape but I think that is flow related. best i can tell from the picture.

yea, i would like a refugium but i'm not sure if theres a way to make a HOB or hang in tank kind. I have been seeing the blue leggs doing most of the work, ceirths have been working on the GHA some but haven't seen any noticable progress from them, they mainly work on the glass, and the others just do whatever, i think they just cruise around on the rocks and glass. I think i'll place an order after the holidays. I just hope this GHA goes away soon, i'm really wanting some corals.

    Thanks for the help
