Has anyone got any ideas to what this pod is? It migrates around very slowly but is definitely mobile.

What am I looking at? The white tater tots under your Zoa's? I'd consider those some type of sponge or tunicate seeing how they have what looks to be a valve or two

Thanx! Hey as a side note another stupid question probably but....If I am adding 5-6 gallons of water to my tank each week due to evaporation do I still need to do water changes? I have a protein skimmer and a double filter also.

You are adding RO/DI water right?

Since you are not adding SW, you are not replenishing the trace elements, nor are you removing excess nutrients by doing the water change.

Oooohhhhhhh, whoops, guess I will get 15 gallons tomorrow!! Maybe that is why I lost my frogspawn and a couple other corals. Frogspawn just 'fell out' of its skeleton and bounced around the bottom, can't find it now. I am so stupid, should have figured that out. Real new so appreciate your help! Tank is 7 months old. Don't even know half the names of my stuff yet but this site is awesome and finding alot of answers, still don't know how to do a gallery though! Next day off project!

Do you think the little star on the rock to the left of frogspawn might be a culprit?
