    its definitely not a bad idea, helps keep your tank clean. you can get a decent one for under a hundred bucks.

    I do not, A UV sterilizer is indiscriminate. Kills the good with the bad or so I've been told. OK people answer up, PRo's Con's What's up....

    i can get a 11w for $36.00
    18w for $49.00
    36w for $68.00
    i guess the bigger is better ????

    good or bad??? i dont feed my tank with live food,mainly frozen or flake....
    just want to get rid of the rest of the green hair algae

    about 25 watt should do for a 125gal tank. how long has your tank been running?

    hmmmm about 3 years or so i still have some hair algae...but i have kind of came to terms thats it's never going to go away...
