Ultralife red slime remover

Well after using API marine algaefix to rid my tank of my hair algae problem cyano started covering a couple of my rocks and a corner of my sand bed i have pretty good flow in my tank and i changed the phosphate media in my reactor so i eliminated those problems i have an ro/di unit also so against my better judgement i usually dont like using these quick fixes i got ultralife red slime remover i mixed it and turned off my skimmer and poured it into my sump it spread throughout my tank this was yesterday immediately my water turned yellow my questions are below also i can already see that it worked i used half the recommended dose and already 3/4ths of the red slime is gone this morning

How long will my water stay yellow?
now my skimmer is creating a ton of micro bubbles how long will this last?

 

I don't know about the yellow water because that didn't happen to me but the Skimmer will go crazy for a while. You kinda just gotta let it over flow and top off with salt water(if that's what you were meaning). With the yellow water you might want to run some carbon or do a water change.

yea the mixture i hade was yellow so after i poured it in naturally it made my water sort of yellowish lol also i just dialed my skimmer back so it wouldnt overflow

 

For me it lasted 8 hours or so, make sure you have lots of surface disturbance, as the bacteria that eat the red slime take up oxygen out of your water.

 

I thought the directions said to turn the Skimmer off dieting the first 24 hours and use and airstone

it will stay yellow until you run something to remove the coloration or perform a decent sized water change.

 

nah the directions recommended to continue skimming

 

yea im mixing up 20G of saltwater now gonna do a large water change
