Update, I finished working on the hood and cover for the trim and overflow box on the tank. Its an open top 4 " cover that just helps to reduce the light intensity if your sitting next to the tank. It will also house led lights hopefully here soon. There is alot of work involved in these tanks and im loving every second of it. Quite rewarding when you finally can sit back and look at it. Also params are coming along nicely I think. Ammonia is at 1.0 ppm and nitrite is 1.0ppm, I was quite supprised to see the ammonia rise without adding anything, considering I used base rock and dry sand. Not sure If I want to add anything to keep ammonia up or just let it run its course. Thanks for looking!

Thanks Steve, It took 3 attempts at the rock work. 1 dry run out on the deck, and 2 attempts at it in the tank. I originally had the rock in the center of the tank with the same amount of space between the front and back of the tank. It was a bit to close to the front though so I brought it more towards the back to open it up a bit. The fish can still go behind to hide though, and that was my goal.

Just added my moonlighting to the tank. Went with the ones from walmart that scenario1313 posted in a diy post. Very nice shimmering affect and am very pleased with them so far. For only 18 dollars for 2 sets of 3 led lights I thought id give it a go. Here's a pic.

Very nice! Do you leave the moonlights on all the time?
