Well, i'm officially addicted or crazy one....not sure which! I will be starting
a biocube 29 HQI within the next week or so. I'm putting a lot of thought and
prep into this one the same as I did with my 90 but this time around with one
year of personal experience and a little more know how.

    I will be moding the
tank a bit from its built in filtration to something a little more in depth and
    user friendly.

So far here are the specs!

-29 gallon BioCube HQI (as if you didn't know)
    -14k metal halide bulb
-tunze 9002 protein skimmer (still working out the details on getting this to fit
-inTank removable media basket running purigen, cheato and Chemi Pure Elite
    -Maxijet 1200 pump for return
    -MP10 ecosmart Power Head (hehehehe)
-Hydor Koralia Evo 750gph for backup in case needed.
    -Jager 100w Heater
-30 lbs of pukani base rock
-However much Fiji Pink sand it takes :p (both the rock and sand are leftovers from my 90)

This tank will serve 2 purposes for me

#1 Be beautiful and something for my wife and I to enjoy in our bedroom.
#2 It will be a quarantine tank for coral heading to my 90

I have left enough room open on the front of the tank to place new arrivals in
the sand after receiving there dip baths to kill off any unwanted pest. They
will then be monitored for 21 days and dipped again and moved to the 90.

So here is the official start of my tank, I have cut out a template the exact
dimensions of the tanks floor and built my aquascape on top of the template.

Thanks for looking and reading here are the pics of the aquascape so far!
Everything is glued and epoxied together and just waiting to be placed in the
    tank!

How exciting! I love the rockwork - it will look awesome in a cube. It will be a lot of fun being a QT tank, because the coral will always be changing and you will never get sick of the tank!!

Thanks! Yep its Pukani rock from brs, I really like the rock for it's weight to size ratio.

Thanks it should be fun! There will be coral that stay specifically in this tank but there will also be coral coming and going to keep it interesting.

Tank and equipment have been arriving over the last few days. I'm really excited to get this thing going and start my cycle. Unfortunately though the stands for these are back ordered and haven't shipped yet.

I could build a custom stand like I did with my 90 but just don't feel like it this time around, so ill have to wait it out. It's ordered already just gotta get it in stock:-/. Here are some pics of the equipment that comes with and the things I have bought to mod it.

Whats in the Biocube HQI box other than the tank.

    Additional equipment and items purchased.

Tank with 150w metal halide bulb installed (still needs a cleaning)

I hope to be able to update more later this week if the stand becomes available.

Thanks I thought it out for quite a bit before starting on the rock. If you noticed the outline of the rock on the cardboard, I did that before I put the rock there so It's pretty close to what I had planned.

Thanks, the light is very heavy and seems to be built very well. The ballast alone is quite heavy, I was surprised. Now if I could just get that stand!

    Thanks!
