The coral is alive but still has not attached to a rock.. Just kind of sitting on the bottom of the tank.. I'm going to try to put it in between too rocks and see what it does. Maybe it will attach.

I'm with you not sure I can work up the nerve to cut it.. Do you guys think I could attach it with some coral glue?

I have had a variety of leathers over the years. Dont be afraid to cut it. You need a VERY sharp razor blade. I wouldnt waste my money on coral glue. Gel super glue works just as well. We cut out leather into a few pieces, it was enormous and taking up too much space. Several people here on 3reef have the frags. Propigation is nothing to be scared of. You just have to know how to do it. I would glue it down to something right away so you can get flow on it. PM me if you need exact details or are worried about it. I check that every day. Best of luck.

I had to frag my leather a few weeks ago cause I had it in a tank with my clowns and they would stay in it and it would stay closed, so it started rotting from not being open. So I cut out rot and split it in about 4 large chunks, I tried to use the glue, but it sits at bottom of tank and it is reattaching itself. It was my first frag also.
