Gravel Vac. They sell them everywhere, pretty much every place that has pet supplies.

This was the Cyano I had on the sand when I had the outbreak. This picture was taken when adding a sand sifting sea star to help turn over the sand. All this you can see & more disappeared with in 3 days using MYCOSIDOL :D

yeah I have a sand sifting star fish, he's really lazy and hardly ever moves though..haha. I'm going to get my bf to buy the micosidol today since I just bought a carbon reactor... I'm really interested to see how it works, since nothing else I've tried has...

I don't suppose he hardly ever moves because your sand is extremely rich in nutrients? Maybe there is more there than he can cope with alone :D that may also account for the growth of Cyano? I'm still very new but it sounds like your reactor might help :D
Hey I hope you get it sorted, that medication should make a good dent though ;)

I'm not sure whether it is or not, how would I tell? As soon as I get the micosidol in the mail I'll message you for dosing instructions.
Btw, thank you for all of your help! :)

hey in that reactor u bought i would run GFO in it over carbon.. GFO will handle the phosphates in the water...carbon just cleans toxins out of it... i run both carbon and gfo, but if i had to run just one, i would chose gfo

There are different kinds of GFO to choose from... there is the high capacity, granular ferric oxide, hign capacity ferric oxide, pellets... what kind do you use?? how long will a pound last do you think? It is a little expensive..
