under attack | need advise

    I pulled the rock and fragged the hammer.

    I soaked the rock in RO/DI for about 20 minutes and then scrubbed it.

    There was a little bit of sponge on the rock this rock was sitting on. I didn't want to pull that rock out because it would have been a nightmare so I kalk pasted that sponge piece.

    I rinsed the offending rock off and put it back.

    My internet went out Friday... so now I'm back to work and using their internet... I'll post pics when I get the net back at home again.



    Also, this sponge does not "peel" off. It falls apart in your fingers. Peeling it in the tank is a huge no no as it will almost certainly float to where you absolutely can not get to and grow from there...

    If it comes back, I'll throw the rock away.

    If it comes back on one of my hammer frags, I'll throw the frag away.

    rock pulled. you can see some kalk in there where there was sponge.

    clean rock back in place. if you look in bottom right you can see the new hammer frag.

    so far, so good. it's been almost a week and my params never budged that I could tell.
