I have a chance to get a new 125gal tank for fairly cheap the only problem is that it is setup and predrilled in the bottom of the tank for an under gravel filter system? I have never had a tank with one of these setups:-/ Do they work and would anyone suggest not getting the tank because of it? Thanks for any advice.

An undergravel filter is a bad idea for salt water aquariums. It ends up just being a place where detritus collects and causes problems. It is outdated technology. It also gets clogged easily. I agree with Yamaha, you can just use it as a return with a stand pipe.
