OK, so my wife want in on the aquarium thing!! good right? She wants to add a Psychedelic Goby to the tank. Well, not right now (not untill i get the diatoms sorted - see other thread). I have about 100# live rock and have tons of pods, at night the back wall is covered. I dont want to deplete the pops so i was thinking about a fuge, only it HAS to be below the tank. Could I have a separate flow coming off the sump into the fuge and the have a T in the sump return line above the pump to suction back up to the tank, that way the pods arnt going through the impellers of the pump. Im not sure if there is enough force to push the water back up into the tank. I have seen this technique used to feed calcium reactors.

    appreaciate the help

Gotta a pic of someone's setup like this? I am trying to understand the t return part and how you will get enough suction.
