Boss gave me the go to set up a small tank to display at work, so i am looking for the best options. 5 8 or 10reef gal nano rimless? I know evap will be a problem i had a 5gal25% edge reef at one point.

Please give me suggestions on what might be a good cheap tank. Dosent need to be anything spectacular. Will just have some softies and zoos. Maybe a shrimp and a clown or goby or something.

I know fluval has small cheap tanks. They have a 5 gal for under $50. I was thinking a par30 would be plenty of light? Any ideas?

For $150, I think the Ecoxotic EcoPico will be your best choice for a reef tank. Here is what it comes with.

No problem. I love the minimalist look, and you don't really need anything additional to it. I would just run carbon and/or macro algae in the filter it comes with.

The EcoPico MiniReef comes standard with 10" W x 10" L x 12" H tank, removable glass lid with clips, filter/pump, black light arm kit with LED strip, 2 additional LED strips and a 3 way splitter.

Personally I would run the tank with a minimal amount of rock and let coral take up mos tof the aquascape. Use black sand for stark contrast, bringing out the colour in corals.

You could easily do soft corals, LPS, possibly SPS with careful placement.

That is one nice little tank, I'd get that, alot of bang for the buck.

As mentioned above, Innovative Marine makes a 4 gallon pico for $150, as well as an 8 gallon for $200. These are both AIO tanks.

I am not quite as familiar with these tanks as I am Ecoxotic products.

awesome! i think you just sold me! GF has an interview today at 11 so as long as she gets the job(which i belive she will) this will be an upcoming purchase! Along with the 92 gal corner bow front for the apartment!

So think i should just do coral only? Or maybe 1 small fish or shrimp?
