I picked up this frag from a lfs for 5 bucks a while back, had all its heads closed but one at the store so i took it cuz it looked neat. Upon entering my tank all the heads opened up and this zoa or paly had the longest polyp arms i had ever seen. Only now when i was doing some gazing into my zoas do i notice something strange about the ends of these polyp arms, they are forming into hammers. I had read on reef builders a while back they saw this and wondered if more to come, The one i have are getting them all around, on every one, not just a one off. they are hard to photograph as i dont have a macro lens but you can make them out in some pics, see for yourself. The lighting varies because i took the shots at different angles, the leds have this big blue glare i try to bring down so you can see the better colors.

I agree that I can't make out the hammers on the skirts, but you do have quite the impressive little zoa/paly garden going on there, very nice selections! ;)

Looks more like a Paly than a Zoa. But maybe your CBS is chewing on the skirts, maybe that's why they look so torqued?

There was a person on NR who had some serious "hammer palys" look it up on RB.
