    can someone help me ID this goby? He is 3" and was caught in ponce inlet on the atlantic coast of florida.

    PS: they do have the suction cups on their stomaches

    I did a search and can't seem to find anything close enough to pinpoint which kind but it almost looks like a brackish water goby a buddy of mine had a few years ago - hopefully someone else can chime in :)

    body looks the same as the dragon/brown barred but the color pattern is different if that helps any

    I know this is not a exact match but check out the scorpion family of fishes ... Here's a link to a pic that resembles him a lil ... hope this helps out a little...

    no, i dont think scorpions have the suction cup. I think the suction cup is exclusive to gobies

    i think its a goby, but remoras have suction area too(its definitely not a remora though)
