It is going to have to color up to know for sure.

Once you start moving it up and it begins to color up you should try to get a macro shots.

    It is encrusted nicely.

Yea, i'll get a better pic on. I'm leaving it sit at the bottom for today. I traded it to the school wet lab for a hawkfish that caused my new fairy wrasse to do a lil carpet surfing... It was sitting under pretty low light in the schools wet lab so i'm lettin it adjust slowly.

Sure looks like that as far as the structure, just not the color. Can the fact that it was under poor light have an influence on the corals color? Will it change color now that its under my halides? I have no idea on SPS, i'm pretty clueless ha ha.

    It will change big time.

It has either been in a tank with too high of a phosphate level or not enough light. All sps will brown out or bleach under those conditions.

I suggest you leave it low for several days and then slowly move it up in the rockwork. Eventually it is going to want to be pretty high up.

Give it a few weeks and you will notice the color changes. It could go green or blue but it will take some time.

It was under low light. With no actinics. I think the water quality in the schools wet lab is the only way that SPS are able to survive.
