    NASA Geek can't resist.....

OR there is a large mass effect on one side of your tank..... A massive object such as a moon, small planet, etc. could cause that. There is also the random black hole concern. If you see light bending in that direction, be concerned.

    Sorry.... NASA humor....

Seriously, I'd re-measure everything and if still stumped use some 1/4 inch tube and an Egyptian Level to test everywhere for level. Egyptian levels never lie and are honestly easier than modern levels in some cases.

    My bad.... sorry.

Get a bunch of clear aquarium 1/4 inch air tubing.
Fill it with water with a foot or so of air left at each end.

Obviously, hold both ends high above the rest of the tubing.

With both ends open to the air, the water in the tube will always be level no matter where you move the two ends of the tube.

So let's say you wanted to see if two pictures hanging on the opposite walls of a room are level with respect to eachother. You drape the tube across the room filled with water and the water will show level no matter what.

When checking level on stuff that is hard to get a modern level on, the tube level trick works great.

It is called an Egyptian level because that is how the Egyptians figured out level for the Pyramids.

You'll need to google it, basically a tripod with a plumb bob hanging from the apex. A V groove is made dead center under the apex. The point of the bob will be pointing to the point of the v if it is level.

Just drill the cap at top center. Start out with a small drill bit and work up if needed. If u start too big youll have noise.
