    Hi all,

I have a bubble tip anemone that is fast outgrowing my tank. Would like to give him to a friend that has a bigger tank. However, I can't seem to get him unstuck from the live rock he is attached to. I would rather not have to give away the rock. Anyone have any nifty methods for removing one of these without thoroughly damaging/killing it?

    Thanks

If you can pull the rock? What I do is turn the anemone upside down in a small bucket of water then gentally rub it's foot with and Ice cube.
Don't try this with our wife/girlfriend or you will get a kick in the chops

A method we use all the time is to take a take a power head and shoot it under the foot while while rolling the foot off the rock with your fingernail. I have had to break rock before because the anemone was lodged in a hole where I couldn't get too.
