Did a water change and did my titration correctly. Mag is still a bit high, but everything else looks good.

If you didn't dose anything, the salt is the problem. What else would have raised the levels?

I haven't dosed anything in 5-6 weeks. When I do water changes, I use RO water with Reef crystals.

I recently upgraded my test kit to Red Sea from Seachem, so I think my numbers have been at this level for some time now, but I am just now getting accurate numbers.

Are your positive that you're using the new kits properly?I use a red sea kit for my mag and it can be a tad tricky getting the proper air gap in the tritation syringe.

Nope, lol. I've been placing the meniscus on the "1.0" mL mark with an air gap between the rubber portion of the syringe and the top on the reagent/meniscus. Is that correct?

My coraline, favia and monti have been growing (assuming they wouldn't grow as noticeably in the conditions I described) , noticeably, so there is a probability of human error involved.

I haven't done a water change in about 4-5 weeks (I don't have any fish), so It's time I do one anyways.

haha,i hear ya.But the air gap should be from the bottom line of the rubber stopper, then theres a nipple on the end of the rubber stopper maybe 1/4" long, the end of the nipple to the stopper is the gap,if that makes sense?

I would trust Seachem tests over Red Sea.
